“ Terrific service and the best tacos in town. Lunch menu is wonderful and quick and with dinner I love a pinarita! ”
“ I have finally found my favorite Tex Mex spot! Growing up in New Mexico I've tried for years to find something I enjoy here in KC. Rudy's is the place for me. Great chips and salsa, extensive menu with tons of options for anyone, and great drinks. This place always seems to be popping but they always get us in quickly. ”
“ First timer: (10/25/24) Walked in at 4:45 and front area was fairly full and was sat in the back area completely on our own. Seemed odd. Was greeted warmly and with enthusiasm. Chips and salsa were some of the freshest I've had anywhere. Salsa was excellent (not chunky) and "hot" option was even better. Ordered the street tacos (carne asada) and it was PERFECT! I've had many various forms but this was as close to authentic as I've had in a long time. Also a bean and cheese burrito. Not much to review as pretty basic, however my sister said it was great and just the right amount! PLEASE NOTE: The reviews DO NOT reflect how good this place is. This is my new GEM for Mexican food. When we left at 5:40- there was at least a 20min wait. So that's the real reflection, not the 3.3 stars. Boo! We will be back and you must give it a shot ! ”
“ We've enjoyed happy hour here a few times since moving nearby, and loved the margaritas and appetizers. Finally had full dinner on the patio and was equally impressed! The pork burrito was exactly what I've been craving. Chips are hot and fresh, too. ”
“ The ceviche was amazing and so fresh. Prompt and great service too. Will be back for happy hour! ”
“ Food - consistently great and delivered quickly to customers Service - good Ambiance- ok ”
“ The Parking lot was full and the place was hopping at 7pm on a Wednesday evening. My Zumba group came after class to socialize and it was my first time here. Growing up, we lived near the Westport location and went often. I knew I had to get one of the traditional KC style tacos- beef and crispy. The sangria was good- $6. The chips were light and crispy, I could not stop eating them. The salsa however, is like tomato sauce it's not good. I ordered a taco and rice ala cart. The beef crispy taco was very good- it just needs some seasoning on the meat to make it less bland. The rice was good. The place is affordable, my bill was $12! And the server was fast and pleasant. You could tell they were very busy. Overall, I would go again. It's a good budget minded place to socialize with friends or family! ”
“ I LOVE Rudy's, so nothing new there. But I did try something new this last time, Chicken Monterey! It's so good, especially if you're someone trying to lessen the carbs. It's chicken breast pounded thin, grilled, topped with peppers, onions, cheese. I used my leftovers to add to a salad the next day. I always suggest getting the Taco Sliders. The Beef Sliders are crispy, the Chicken Sliders are soft. So good. ”
